Welcome to Discross (the "Service"), available at https://discross.net/. Discross is a project that allows users to communicate on Discord through any web browser. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

We collect and store the following information to provide the core functionality of Discross:

  • Discord User IDs: Used to authenticate and identify you when communicating via Discord.
  • Discord Server IDs: Used to track which servers you have access to.
  • Discross Username: Your chosen name for use on our platform.
  • Discross Password: Stored securely, hashed using bcrypt with 10 rounds.
  • Session IDs: Used to manage active logins.
  • Verification Codes: Temporarily stored to verify your account.
  • Webhooks: Stored to send messages to Discord servers.

We do not store Discord messages, IP addresses, or access logs. Messages appear only when you load the relevant Discord channel.

Cookies

We use a single cookie:

  • sessionID Stores your session ID to keep you logged in.

No tracking or analytics cookies are used.

Connection Security

Discross supports both HTTP and HTTPS to maintain compatibility with browsers that do not support HTTPS.

Our HTTPS implementation supports ciphers ranging from SSL v3 to TLS 1.3. We strongly recommend using HTTPS whenever possible for your security.

Server Location

Our servers are hosted in Ashburn, Virginia, USA, using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Discord OAuth Integration

We use Discord OAuth to identify which servers you are a member of. This determines which Discord servers you can access through Discross.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain only the data necessary to maintain your account and provide the Service. If you wish to delete your data in accordance with GDPR, please contact:

Eligibility

Discross is not limited to users aged 13 and older. Users of any age may use the platform, though parental supervision is encouraged for minors.
